About us
LeDangerouge was born from a creative intuition, even before an entrepreneurial project.
In 2010, in Barcelona, Francesca Zambito – known as Rouge – revolutionized the concept of traditional lacing by replacing laces with chains. What is initially an artisanal customizing, made by sewing chains onto pre-existing sneakers, immediately stands out for its strong aesthetic impact, but not yet for its resistance to wear and tear. An instinctive, almost rebellious gesture that transforms an artisanal customization into something completely new. The first creations are handmade, sewn on existing shoes: visually strong, but still immature in structure.
Realizing the enormous potential of the idea, Rouge decided not to stop at the first attempt. After a long phase of research and experimentation, including trial and error, mistakes and intuition, he managed to identify the right machinery and technical combination to transform a creative intuition into a real shoe.
Between 2011 and 2013, Rouge used his communication skills and international spirit to promote the project in the cities where he lived-Barcelona, Ibiza, Rome, and Paris-finding the music scene a powerful springboard.
2014 marks the decisive step: Rouge returns to Italy and officially founds LeDangerouge thanks to the support of his family. Belonging to a digital generation, he chooses to start with e-commerce, building a direct, accessible and global brand from day one; only later does he then develop the retail part, both in Italy and abroad.
Through participation in international trade shows and online sales, the brand quickly transcends national borders. Its distinctive and highly iconic style attracts the attention of influential figures in the fashion world, including Franca Sozzani, who helps give the brand visibility by posting a LeDangerouge model on her channels and including it among the finalists in an online contest, later also featured in Vogue.
Since then, LeDangerouge has been conquering celebrities and protagonists of the international art scene:
Singers, models, actresses and DJs start wearing LeDangerouge, turning the brand into a true statement piece. From Nina Zilli to Gigi Hadid, from MÃ¥neskin to Vittoria Ceretti, Irina shayk to the international clubbing scene: LeDangerouge becomes synonymous with character, independence and style.
Today, after more than ten years of growth and consolidation, LeDangerouge represents the meeting of experimentation, identity and contemporary culture.
Francesca Zambito, founder and designer, lives and works in Turin, where the brand’s creative studio is based. Trained at IED Moda in Milan and also professionally raised within the family skateboard company, Rouge still follows every aspect of the project, keeping the original vision intact: to transform an out-of-the-box idea into a distinctive sign of style.
Over the years, what started as an idea became a movement.
